Her parents were Pantaleone DeiRocini and Maria Vincenza Vitale.

Almina had four sisters: Maria Luigia, Giulia, Margherita, and Elisa.

There is a possibility that she also had a couple of half-siblings but I can't confirm that. There may be a half-brother by a previous marriage of her father; and there is also a rumor that the mother had a previous marriage producing a half-sister.

Almina's sister Elisa married Giovanni Cassano. They had two children, Michele (Michael) and Angiolena. Michael became a General in the Italian Army. He also married a countess whose first name was Marisa. She was from another country, not sure which country. There is a rumor that she sheltered him during the war and they fell in love. I understand that they eventually divorced. I remember some of the cousins visiting Italy in the 1960's and meeting them while they were still married. When they returned, they visited Almina and told her about it. I was there when they visited my grandmother. The cousins were very impressed with the Italian relatives. Apparently they were quite prosperous and very gracious. Cousin Pamela visited Italy and met some of the other relatives too. She also was impressed. -as recalled by Deborah Mayo
